Why should I use hair oil?

Hair oils can be a great addition to your hair routine for a few reasons: they help finish a style by adding smoothness and shine, they seal the hair cuticle to lock in moisture, and they can even be used as a deep treatment before shampooing to replace lost moisture.

Oils are a type of ingredient called "occlusives" that form a barrier on the hair shaft, which can help keep nutrients in and environmental aggressors out.

Our Strengthening Treatment Oil is all about split end repair and helping to seal the hair cuticle to repair damage. As part of the Don't Despair, Repair! collection, this concentrated oil works to reinforce split ends and is perfect for anyone struggling with dry, brittle, or damaged hair.

While both oils are silicone-free, the Rosehip, Argan & Coconut Oil Blend definitely has a very traditional smoothing texture and feel—perfect for laying down fly-aways and locking in hydration. 

The Strengthening Treatment Oil tends to feel a little more concentrated—meaning, when you apply it to your hair, less is definitely more to start. For fine, thin hair, one to two drops is enough; thicker or textured hair can always add more as needed.
